Choose your image
Drop a JPG, PNG or WebP into the tool above or pick it from your device. Nothing leaves this tab.
Remove the background
Press Remove BG. The tool samples the edges of the picture, works out the background colour and clears everything close to it.
Download the PNG
Check the cut-out against the original, then save it. PNG keeps the transparency — JPEG would fill it back in with white.
Honest about what it does
- Made for plain backgrounds. A white studio sweep, a flat colour or a single-tone wall is what this method is good at.
- A real transparent PNG. The alpha channel is genuinely cleared, so the cut-out drops straight onto any colour behind it.
- No upload, no queue. The work happens in this tab, so there is nothing to wait for and nothing stored on a server.
- Both versions stay on screen. Original and cut-out sit side by side, so a bad result is obvious before you download.
About this tool
What kind of images does this work best on?
Anything shot against one flat colour: packshots on white, logos, headshots on a studio background, screenshots of a single-colour panel. The tool reads the colour around the edges of the picture and clears every pixel close to it.
Why did part of my subject disappear?
Because it was close in colour to the background. A white shirt against a white wall, or a blue logo on a blue card, will be cleared along with the background. Re-shooting against a contrasting colour is the fix.
Can it cut out hair or a busy scene?
Not reliably. Fine hair, motion blur and cluttered backgrounds need a trained model rather than a colour match, so treat this tool as the quick option for clean shots and expect to touch up anything harder.
Does my image get uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser on your own device, so the file never leaves this tab and nothing is stored or logged.
What do I get back?
A PNG at the same resolution as the original, with the background pixels made transparent. Save it as PNG — converting to JPEG afterwards will fill the transparency with a solid colour.
Your file, your device
This tool is client-side. Nothing is uploaded, stored, or logged — closing the tab is all the cleanup there is.
