Quick reference
Seven categories, over sixty units, no rounding surprises
Three steps, about ten seconds
Pick a category
Length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed or time. The unit lists change to match.
Choose the two units
Set what you are converting from and to. The swap button reverses them without retyping anything.
Type your number
The result appears as you type, with the conversion rate printed underneath so you can sanity-check it.
Built for the conversion you actually need
- Seven categories in one tool. No hunting for a separate page when you move from kilometres to kilograms.
- The rate is shown, not hidden. Seeing 1 m = 3.28084 ft under the answer is how you catch a wrong unit before you use the number.
- Temperature is handled properly. Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin need an offset as well as a ratio, which is where most quick converters get it wrong.
- One click to copy. The result copies straight to your clipboard, and the quick-reference values are clickable too.
About this tool
Which units does it cover?
Seven categories with more than sixty units between them: length, weight, temperature, area, volume, speed and time. That covers metric and imperial for everyday work, including the awkward ones like acres, nautical miles and fluid ounces.
Why does temperature behave differently from the others?
Because it is not a simple ratio. Doubling metres doubles feet, but 20 degrees Celsius is not twice 10 degrees Fahrenheit — the scales start in different places. The conversion applies the offset as well as the ratio, which is why you cannot do it with a single multiplication.
How accurate are the results?
Conversions use the standard definitions, so a metre is exactly 3.280839895 feet and an inch is exactly 25.4 millimetres. The answer is shown to a sensible number of decimal places rather than every digit your browser can produce.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes. The conversion runs in your browser with no network calls, so it keeps working if your connection drops mid-task.
Can I convert currency here?
No — currency needs a live exchange rate, which is a different kind of problem. The currency converter handles that with rates updated daily.

Runs in your browser
Every conversion is worked out on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so it keeps working on a slow connection and there is nothing to log.
