Words, characters, sentences and paragraphs update as you type, with reading time alongside.
Trim and copy back
Cut to your limit, then copy the text back out. Nothing is kept once you close the tab.
Built for word limits that actually matter
- Hindi counted properly. Devanagari is split on real word boundaries, not on bytes or characters.
- Characters with and without spaces. The two numbers submission forms tend to disagree about.
- Reading time included. Useful when the brief is set in minutes rather than words.
- Nothing leaves the tab. The text is analysed in your browser and never uploaded.
About this tool
Does it count Hindi words correctly?
Yes. Devanagari text is split on word boundaries rather than counted by character, so a Hindi sentence counts the way a reader would count it. Mixed Hindi and English in one paragraph is handled too.
What is the 2,000 word limit?
The free version analyses up to 2,000 words at a time. For longer documents, run it in sections, or use Pro, which raises the cap.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser, so the text never leaves your device. Closing the tab is all the cleanup there is.
Do the character counts include spaces?
Both numbers are shown. Most universities count characters with spaces; most social platforms count without. You get each, so there is nothing to guess.
Can I use it on a phone?
Yes. The layout works down to small screens, and you can paste from any app that lets you copy text.
