- Every option is separate. Most cleaners do one fixed set of things. Here you decide, which matters when you want the URLs gone but the line breaks kept.
- The PDF paste problem. Remove line breaks plus trim each line turns a column of broken half-sentences back into flowing paragraphs.
- HTML tags go without the content. Useful for pulling readable text out of a copied web page or an email that arrived as markup.
- Counts before and after. Characters, words and lines update live, so you can tell at a glance whether a rule took out more than you meant.
About this tool
How do I fix text copied from a PDF that breaks every line?
Tick Remove line breaks and Trim each line together. PDFs store each visual line separately, so pasting them gives you a hard break at the end of every line rather than at the end of every paragraph. Removing the breaks rejoins the sentences.
Will it remove my paragraph breaks too?
Yes, Remove line breaks removes all of them, so you will need to put paragraph breaks back. If you only want to collapse runs of blank lines, use Remove extra spaces and leave line breaks alone.
What counts as a special character?
Anything outside letters, digits and ordinary punctuation — symbols, box-drawing characters, stray control characters and the bullet glyphs that come with a copied list. Accented letters are kept.
Can I undo a clean?
Not inside the tool, so keep the original somewhere before you run it. The safest habit is to apply one option at a time and check the result rather than ticking everything at once.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the text never leaves your device and nothing is stored or logged.
