Which one you actually want
- Title Case for headings. Capitalises the words a title should and leaves the small joining words alone, which is the part people get wrong by hand.
- Sentence case to undo caps lock. Drops everything to lowercase, then capitalises the first letter after each full stop — the fix for a paragraph typed the wrong way.
- Capitalize Each Word for names and lists. Every word capitalised without exception, which is what spreadsheets and name fields usually want.
- The odd ones are there too. Alternating, inverse and toggle case, for the occasional time you need them.
About this tool
What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalize Each Word?
Title Case follows the convention that short joining words like a, of and the stay lowercase unless they open the title. Capitalize Each Word capitalises everything without exception. Use Title Case for headlines, Capitalize Each Word for names and column headings.
How do I fix a paragraph I typed with caps lock on?
Sentence case. It lowercases the lot and then restores the capital at the start of each sentence. You will still need to fix proper nouns by hand, since no tool can tell whether May is a month or a verb.
Is there a limit on how much text I can paste?
There is no fixed cap. The conversion happens in your browser, so the practical limit is your device’s memory — a few hundred pages of plain text is not a problem.
Does it keep my line breaks and paragraphs?
Yes. Only letter casing changes; spacing, line breaks and punctuation are left exactly as they were. If you want to change those, the text cleaner is the tool for it.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything happens in your browser, so the text never leaves your device and nothing is stored or logged.
